Betty Lou Brown, 69, of Halifax, formerly of Jacksonville, Florida, died Friday, April 21, 2017.

Betty was the daughter of the late James “Doc” and Margaret Elizabeth Lambeth Brown. She was also preceded in death by a brother, William Kenneth Brown. She was retired as an accountant.

She is survived by her three brothers, Donald F. Brown and his wife, Freda of Chesapeake, Va., Richard C. Brown and his wife, Betty S. of Halifax, John Alton Brown, Sr. and his wife, Pearl of Conway; sister-in-law, Julia Brown of Colerain; several nieces and nephews, and many friends in Florida.

Graveside services will be held Monday, April 24, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Rich Square with Rev. Jeremy Kobernat officiating.

The family will receive friends after the service at the cemetery.
